Coronavirus Information

June 9, 2020

Dear Camden City School District Families and Community Partners:

Camden City School District was closed on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, to observe a Day of Reflection. State law requires that the Camden City School District make up any lost instructional days. Therefore, Monday, June 22, 2020, will serve as a make up day and the last day of school for students.

On Monday, June 22, Camden City School District's online learning will be open for all students. Students should login to their online learning sessions at their normal morning start time, and the school day will end at 1:00 p.m.

If you have any questions about this instructional make up day, please reach out to your child's school.

On May 4, 2020, Governor Murphy announced that schools will remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This means the spring athletic season has officially been canceled. Plans for summer educational or other programs offered at school is still to be determined. This decision was made to protect the health of students, educators, and their families. Therefore, the District will continue remote learning through June 19, 2020.

Although our school buildings will remain closed and the educational journey will look different, it doesn’t change our district’s commitment to “Putting Students First”. Keeping our students safe and connected to learning is the top priority. Our district will continue to work in collaboration with county and statewide school leaders on school reopening plans for the future.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we determine the best plans for our students. Should you have any questions please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions document on our website or contact the District’s Solution Center at 856-966-2507.
