Reconstruction Plans

Camden High Reconstruction Plans

Reconstruction of Camden High School will begin in Fall 2017. The new four high school campus will be home to Brimm Medical Arts, Creative Arts High School, Big Picture Learning Academy, and Camden High School.

Working under guidance from the School Culture and History Committee, the SDA is salvaging and preserving many elements of the Castle on the Hill. A summary of the salvage and preservation plan is found below.

Contractors interested in bidding to work on the Camden High School reconstruction project were invited to attend an information session with the Schools Development Authority at HB Wilson Family School on June 30, 2017. The SDA's presentation for contractors is available below. Contractors with questions about qualifying to work on the Camden High School project should visit https://www.njsda.gov/njsda/business/CV/Index.html and read the informational presentation below.

The Schools Development Authority conducted a feasibility study to help determine whether a renovation or reconstruction of Camden High School was in the best interests of the students and the school district.
The feasibility study is available below along with a shorter document that provides additional context on the evaluation.
